Halloween Special

Episode on November 1, 2008 Saturday, 8:30 p.m. This Saturday on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, it’s an episode full of hair-raising stories as the show marks Halloween. Different places with notorious pasts are visited, among them, a vacant lot in Limay, Bataan, where salvaged bodies believed to be victims of extra judicial killings, were dumped. Souls howling for justice are thought to haunt the area, causing fear among residents. Spirits are also said to roam an old Church in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, where the underground room is suspected to have served as a torture chamber during the Spanish occupation. Until now, even tourists claim to feel the presence of other-worldly beings crying for justice. Old structures are also believed to hold secrets. In Manila City Hall, janitress Eleanor dela Cruz claims to have seen ghosts in the old building’s dark passageways. Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’s team explores the area to verify this claim. On the team’s way up to the tower clock, a wailing sound is accidentally recorded on camera! Just this week, retrieval operation of bodies from the ill-fated M/V Princess of the Stars began. With the recovery of the bodies, it is hoped that families agonized by their loss may somehow be appeased. But the souls of those who tragically met death in the mishap allegedly remain restless as ghost stories circulate around the nearby town of San Fernando, Romblon. Halloween is not all horror— in fact, it’s fun time for kids who go trick or treating in their ghoulish attires. Costume parties are held for the young and adults alike. Competitions for the best decorated Halloween house are organized. And guess who’s taking part in a Halloween competition this year? It’s none other than Shake, Rattle and Roll horror hit series movie producer herself, Mother Lily! Mga iba’t-ibang lugar na may notoryus na nakaraan ang bibisitahin, tulad na lamang ng bakanteng lote sa Limay, Bataan kung saan ang mga bangkay na pinaniniwalaang biktima ng extra judicial killings ay natagpuan.
