Dikya, motorbikes and wellness
Summer is when Filipinos troop to the beaches for outings, impervious to the danger that lies under from a sea creature -- the jellyfish or dikya! Across the world, there are 2,000 known species of the jellyfish, including 70 that are poisonous or harmful. The mushroom-like creature has tentacles of various lengths, with poisonous sting that could trigger skin rashes or wounds, or in some instances, even death. 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho' visited Brookeâs Point in Palawan, where every year, the jellyflish claims victims. Get to know how best to deal with the creature's deadly sting, this Saturday. In another segment, Jessica looks at how motorcyles are drawing more and more riders -- men and women, senior citizens like eighty-year-old lawyer Benjamin Manas, and actor Dominic Ochoa who treats his bike like she were his leading lady. In the segment "Detoxification & Wellness," learn about "Colema," (Batangas' barako coffee that is being used as a purgative), and Ion cleansing (drenching feet in saline water).
