Big adventure in store for diminutive Diwata-1 satellite
No bigger than a balikbayan box, the Philippines' first homegrown microsatellite is a meager wonder of engineering.
On Sunday, Diwata was confirmed to have reached the International Space Station, where it will be docked for calibration before being sent merrily on its way.
But what feats are lined up for this diminutive 100-pound satellite?

Aside from imaging the country using its multispectral cameras, Diwata-1 would be able to improve weather forecasting and therefore providing better strategies on disaster management.
