WATCH: Kanlaon sends ash plumes over 900 meters on Thursday afternoon

Kanlaon Volcano spewed ash plumes on Thursday afternoon.
According to footage posted by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), Kanlaon emitted a grayish plume that reached 900 meters above the summit crater.
The event occurred between 12:58 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
The newest event came after the volcano generated 1,200-meter ash plumes on Thursday morning.
Alert Level 2 prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.
Earlier, Phivolcs said that 24 ash emissions were recorded in March.
In the past 24 hours, 12 volcanic earthquakes were recorded over the volcano.
Sulfur dioxide emissions were measured at 1,524 tonnes per day, lower than the peak recorded this year at 4,126 tonnes per day on January 9. —Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/LDF, GMA News
