Since late Monday, visitors to the website of Philippine senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago have been redirected to another site that has been tagged as "suspicious" for probable malware content.
The senator's website appears to have been victimized by an as-yet unidentified malware that is causing the redirect.  As of Tuesday afternoon, it remains unclear how Sen. Santiago's webpage was infected in the first place, nor what steps its administrators are taking to address the problem. The senator's office has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
Visitors to Sen. Miriam Santiago's website (www.miriam.com.ph) have been diverted to a new domain, http://daliachu-uaroyalys.ru/industry/index.php. However, the redirected page would not open, even as an error message indicates the "Domain Name System (DNS) lookup failed."

Google's Safe Browsing diagnostics indicated that the daliachu-uaroyalys.ru domain is "listed as suspicious," adding visiting the site "may harm your computer."

"Over the past 90 days, daliachuuaroyalys.ru appeared to function as an intermediary for the infection of 11 site(s) including polatliforum.com/, autoreality.com/, districtw.com," Google added.

It also said the site had hosted malicious software over the past 90 days, infecting 236 domains.

The AnalysisWebsites.com site indicated daliachuuaroyalys.ru was created only last Jan. 24 and was last updated Feb. 21. — TJD, GMA News
