Don't worry, Windows Phone owners. Angry Birds Space is coming to your devices soon, too.

Tech site PC Magazine cited a Reuters report quoting Rovio's chief executive Mikael Hed as saying they are working to get the game to WP7.

"We are working towards getting Angry Birds Space to WP7," Hed said but did not offer a timeline for a WP launch, PC Mag said.

Rovio released Angry Birds Space last Thursday, drawing praise for its use of the concept of gravity by placing the setting in outer space.

The cast of birds has also been revamped, with new abilities.

But so far, the game has been released as a free, ad-supported app on Android, and as a paid, 99-cent version.

Angry Birds Space for the iPhone costs 99 cents, while the Retina-ready "HD" iPad app costs $2.99. A special Android tablet-optimized version also costs $2.99.

PC and Mac versions of the game have also been released.

PC Mag noted Peter Vesterbacka, chief marketing officer of Rovio Rovio Entertainment Oy, had hinted they would skip developing Angry Birds Space for Windows Phone, telling Bloomberg that supporting Windows Phone would mean rewriting the game.

On the other hand, the Angry Birds franchise can run on Nokia's current smartphones and some lower-end models. —TJD, GMA News
