The long-awaited announcement for the launch of the highly-anticipated Halo 4 video game has finally arrived. According to the 4.17.12 Bulletin posted on Halo Waypoint, the game’s official website, the latest instalment of the franchise will hit the stores on November 6, 2012.
Hours before the official announcement, the mentioned release date had surfaced on The Verge, a tech news website.
According to the report, talkshow host Conan O’ VBrien could also be announcing the official launch date on his show “Conan”. Almost simultaneous tweets from Allison Stoll, senior producer at 343, and Larry Hryb, more popularly known in Xbox Live as Major Nelson, alluded to this. Stoll tweeted, “A little birdy (or was it Andy [Richter]?) told us @TeamCoco will have some big Halo 4 news tomorrow. Stay tuned! #incoming #wakeupjon”. On the other hand, Hrybs' tweet was a bit more direct: “Look for #Halo4 news on the way in the next 24 hours. Hint: @TeamCoco plays a part!”
Halo 4 is the first of a new trilogy in the Halo universe that marks the return of the series’ most popular Spartan, Master Chief Petty Officer John-117. The story will pick up right after the events of Halo 3, wherein Cortana and the Chief find themselves “marooned” in a mysterious planet. — TJD, GMA News
