Even video game villains have their cool moments - like doing cameo appearances in an upcoming Disney movie. And in 3-D, to boot.
The cameos are due November 2 in "Wreck-It Ralph," a 3-D computer-animated Disney movie, according to a report on tech site Mashable.
"Although the star-studded comedic film stars the 9-foot, 643-pound video game character Ralph, be on the lookout for villains from Super Mario Bros., Mortal Kombat, Sonic, Mega Man, Street Fighter and other classics," it said.
Mashable said a list of villains the film will feature includes:
- Bowser, Super Mario Bros.
- Kano, Mortal Kombat
- Doctor Robotnik, Sonic the Hedgehog
- Doctor Wily, Mega Man
- Zangief and M. Bison, Street Fighter II
- Clyde, Pac-Man
- Coily, Q*bert
Interestingly, some of the villains could be remembered more in the 2-D world.
Mashable said "Wreck-It Ralph," Disney’s 52nd animated feature, tells the story of an 8-bit miscreant who wants to turn his life around and become a role model - after decades of mischief-making.
Citing a synopsis of the film, it said the main character sets off on a "game-hopping journey across the arcade" through every generation of video games to prove he has what it takes to be a hero.
The movie features voiceovers from John C. Reilly, Jane Lynch, Jack McBrayer and Sarah Silverman. — ELR, GMA News
