But all this is part of an Easter egg by Google, in the form of a point-and-shoot game against the zerg. In "Starcraft,"
zerg are portrayed as a terrifying and ruthless amalgamation of biologically advanced, arthropodal aliens that hunts down and assimilates advanced species across the galaxy. "In Google's version, your search results are quickly overtaken by a falling wave of Google-colored Os – zerglings capable of destroying your little blue links. To combat your enemy, you must click furiously over each enemy zergling to destroy it and stop the onslaught," PC World
reported. It noted the "evil zerglings" not only descend from above the page, but also sneak up from the bottom. "At the end of the battle, the remaining Os slowly form into "GG" to congratulate you on a good game," it said, adding a player can share his or her score on Google+.
