With the launch of Nokia's latest smartphone running on Microsoft's Windows Phone, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is close to coming out with a traffic app for the platform. MMDA traffic discipline office head Yves Gonzalez on Saturday posted a photo of the app's release candidate running on a WP7 phone. "Hello world," he said in a tweet, where he posted the photo. The MMDA already has versions of its app, which guides motorists on which roads are clogged, for Apple's iOS and Google's Android. Its existing apps for other platforms including iOS and Android also allow users to send information on the traffic condition in major roads. Gonzalez said in an earlier tweet he was "excited to try out the release candidate of MMDA for WP7." "Perfect timing now that the Nokia Lumia 900 is the 'best smartphone ever,'" he added. His tweet on the Nokia Lumia 900 as the "best smartphone ever" was in reference to Siri - Apple's voice-activated assistant for the iPhone 4S – giving the distinction to the Lumia 900. — LBG, GMA News
