Pac-Man comes to life in 3D street art

Pac-Man, the iconic yellow power pellet-chomping video game hero, came alive again 30 years after he first appeared, this time as 3D street art in the Netherlands.

 

Artist Leon Keer turned a street in Venlo, The Netherlands, into a Pac-Man world with maze, ghosts, and power pellets, tech site Mashable reported.

 

“The 3D Pac-Man piece I made is to bring alive memories from the past. A recognizable theme always attracts the eye of the beholder,” Keer said.

 

Mashable said Keer spent three days creating the Pac-Man artwork.

 

It noted people have spotted his paintings across the world in countries such as the U.S., Germany, France, The United Arabic Emirates and Australia.

 

“Street painting belongs to the street — after we finish a piece, we say goodbye and it will be public domain. The temporary fact about this artform strengthens its existence,” he said. — TJD, GMA News
