Google marks chef Julia Child's 100th birth anniversary with doodle
Google Inc. on Wednesday marked the 100th birth anniversary of chef and TV personality Julia Child with an appropriately themed doodle.

Visitors to Google's home page on Wednesday were treated to a doodle of Child cooking in her kitchen.
The food items she was cooking were arranged to resemble the letters in "Google."
As in the past, clicking on the doodle will take the visitor to a Google Search Results page for Julia Child.
Child, born August 15, 1912, was a popular American chef and author with her own TV show “The French Chef.”
In her first cookbook “Mastering the Art of French Cooking,” Child introduced French cuisine to Americans, based on dishes she learned while living in Paris with her husband Paul.
Her life became the inspiration for the book “Julie and Julia,” which was turned into a movie in 2009 starring Meryl Streep.
