This rocking chair charges your iPhone

Owners of iPhones and iPads who need to charge their devices but cannot find any available power source may find this rocking chair useful. The iRock has a built-in dock and speakers for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, according to a report on tech site Mashable. "A generator on the chair harnesses the rocking movement, and transforms it into power. A 60-minute rocking session, for instance, is enough to charge an iPad 3 to 35 percent," Mashable said. It added the chair can charge other Apple devices, even the iPhone 5 and the new iPad mini. Owners may want to appreciate the chair being hand-built out of pine, it added. For now, the iRock is available only in white, but plans are afoot for red, black, yellow and striped varieties, Mashable added. — LBG, GMA News
