After being banned from Apple's App Store over a porn mess, the photo app 500px has returned, this time with a button for reporting inappropriate content.

The app was pulled out of the App Store last Monday amid complaints that it allowed the featuring of pornographic images and material.

"Judging by the latest release notes, it doesn't seem 500px has made many significant changes to the app, nor stripped away existing functionality. It has, however, added a new 'report' button that lets users easily flag inappropriate content," reported tech site The Verge.

It quoted 500px co-founder Evgeny Tchebotarev as saying the "report" button was added on Apple's request.

He also said the company has tweaked its search to make it harder for potentially offending photos to show up.

Users who have opted into adult images on 500px's site will not be affected, however.

Also, however, the rating has been raised to 17+, the highest age rating on iTunes, allegedly at Apple's request.

The Verge also said Tchebotarev compared the controversy over porn on Twitter's video app Vine, which has been pulled from Apple's "Editor's Choice" list but remains up with a 12+ rating.

"If you look at other apps like Vine, they don't necessarily have the same rating we do," he said

Also, he said that while his team is investigating Apple's child pornography allegations, he hasn't found anything yet. — TJD, GMA News
