Edit Google Docs in landscape view on iPhone with updated Drive app

iPhone owners can now edit documents accessed via Google Drive in landscape mode, thanks to the recently updated app from Google.

Google said version 1.3.0 of the app allows "landscape editing of documents and spreadsheets for iPhone," and loads faster with quicker editing support.

The app (available here) weighs in at 28.2 MB and is optimized for iPhone 5's longer —or wider in landscape mode— screen.

Bug fixes also come with the latest update, it added.

A separate article on The Next Web said landscape editing had been previously available to iPad users.

It had also been available for those with devices running Google's Android.

"This update brings Google Drive’s iOS app in line with its Android counterpart, as the Android version previously supported landscape editing and received a number of performance improvements back in February," it added. — TJD, GMA News
