Star Wars: The Clone Wars nominated for 7 daytime Emmys

The Force is indeed with the fifth season of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," as it now has a shot at winning daytime Emmy Awards this year.
 
StarWars.com said the series itself, which traces its roots to the hit film franchise, received an Outstanding Special Class Animated Program nomination.
 
"The series itself received an Outstanding Special Class Animated Program nomination, with George Lucas (executive producer), Cary Silver (producer), and Athena Portillo (line producer) recognized in the nomination," it said.
 
Also nominated for their directorial work on the series in the category Outstanding Directing in an Animated Program are Dave Filoni (supervising director), Kyle Dunlevy, Brian Kalin O'Connell, Steward Lea, and Bosco Ng (episodic directors).
 
On the other hand, guest stars were cited in three nominations for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program.
 
"Half the category is dominated by The Clone Wars actors: Jim Cummings as Hondo Ohnaka, David Tennant as Huyang, and Sam Witwer as Darth Maul," it said.
 
Also, the sounds of The Clone Wars are feted as well, with Kevin Kiner getting a nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition.
 
Nominated as well were David Acord from Skywalker Sound (re-recording mixer) and Cameron Davis from LA Studios, Inc. (dialogue recordist), in the nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing. — TJD, GMA News
