An occupational therapist and clinical researcher who lost her foot has made herself a unique prosthetic leg—made out of LEGO bricks.

Christina Stephens said she made the cool-looking prosthetic after someone in her research lab jokingly suggested it.

"Someone in my research lab jokingly suggested I make a prosthetic leg out of LEGOs. The joke's on you—I went home and did it. Please don't do this yourself, I don't want you to fall and get hurt!" she said, according to a report on Gizmodo.

She even made a YouTube video showing how she built the "LEG-o" prosthetic.

Christina also has a Facebook page and YouTube "AmputeeOT" channel featuring "informational videos related to healthcare, occupational therapy, prosthetics, manual wheelchairs, medical equipment and more," Gizmodo added.

Gizmodo said Stephens had lost her foot earlier this year and had her leg amputated just below the knee.

"(W)e have never seen someone build a fake leg out of LEGO. Christina Stephens has not only converted her weakness into her strength, but into a beautiful piece of art," it noted. — VC, GMA News
