Apple fixes bugs in iOS6, iOS7 updates

Apple Inc. over the weekend released updates for its iOS 6 and iOS 7 operating systems for mobile devices, to address a range of issues.

Tech site Mashable said Apple's iOS 7.0.6 security update pertains to security, and "provides a fix for SSL connection verification."

But it indicated this update does not quite solve all issues experienced by users with iOS 7.

It said iOS 7.1, which may address "lingering iOS 7 niggles" such as the soft-reboot issue or the "black/white screen of death," may not be due until March.

"Apple confirmed to Mashable that it is aware of the issue and it will be addressed in a future update," it added.

Meanwhile, Apple also released an update for iOS 6 users, offering bug fixes for the older iPhone 3GS and fourth-generation iPod touch. — KDM, GMA News
