Sulit merges with international classified ads network OLX
Sulit.com.ph is now OLX.ph. The local selling portal merged with international classified ads network OLX, Sulit founder RJ David in a post on Wednesday.
"We can now officially confirm that we are changing our brand name to OLX Philippines and our new home URL is OLX.ph," the post said.
OLX, a company whose name came from the abbreviation of 'online exchange', is used on over 106 countries in 40 languages, and is one of the biggest classified ads network in the world.
"As we now officially become OLX Philippines and leverage on OLX’s global standards and best practices, this brand change is but a part of our mission to continue providing the Filipinos with a superior platform for buying and selling online," David said in his post.
Sulit.com.ph was founded by David and his spouse, Arianne, in September 2006. It was launched as an 'experimental website' that eventually focused on classified ads.
As of posting time, David has not yet responded to GMA News' request for a statement. — Kim Luces/TJD, GMA News
