Here's fun news for users of devices running Google's Android: the latest beta of Chrome for Android now features Google's patented Doodles in the New Tab page.
Google's Jason Kersey said Chrome Beta 36.0.1985.36 also features improved text rendering on sites that are not quite optimized for mobile devices.
"Doodles return to the new tab page," Kersey said in a blog post, adding the app now gives "better suggestions before you start typing." (http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/2014/05/chrome-beta-for-android-update_28.html)
Enthusiast site AndroidPolice.com said Google's focus appeared to be "a little more on fine-tuning the experience."
As early as December 2012, Softpedia reported Google had started work on incorporating the Google.com homepage into the New Tab page in Chrome. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
