Coffee Stain Studios and MagicalTimeBean, two game developers that created games about goats, now have another thing in common besides their passion for goat-based amusements. They're teaming up with Heifer International, a non-profit charity organization to help developing countries.

Coffee Stain Studios are the creators of 'Goat Simulator,' the self-described "world's dumbest game" that lets you control a destructive goat. Initially developed as a joke, 'Goat Simulator' was met with excitement when videos of it were shown on YouTube. Coffee Stain completed a release version that retained highly entertaining non-critical bugs and glitches. 'Escape Goat 2' is the product of MagicTimeBean, and is a puzzle platformer featuring a goat imprisoned for witchcraft. The goat solves various puzzle rooms with the aid of a magical mouse to break out of the dungeon.

As part of a promotion called "Games for Goats," the developers are giving away copies of their games. These games will be given in exchange for donations to Heifer of $20 and up. Each donation will go directly towards Heifer's cause, which provides livestock and training to struggling communities in order to alleviate worldwide hunger and poverty. As donations go up in tier, so does the end animal given: $20 gives chicks, $60 gives rabbits and $120 gives a goat.

Sharp readers will notice that animals other than goats are involved. As such, each animal is 'rebranded' as a different kind of goat at the official 'Games for Goats' page. Give $150 and you're giving a llama, a 'wooly goat.' $300 supplies 'wet goats' in the form of fish. A 'lumpy goat,' known also as a camel is provided at the $850 donation level. According to Coffee Stain's Armin Ibrisagic, "All animals are goats. Horses are goats with longer legs. Bears are goats with fur." — TJD, GMA News
