Except for a miniscule black band across the bottom part of its face, one may not be able to tell Motorola's new wearable tech apart from an ordinary analog watch.

Meet the Moto 360, which runs on Android Wear—the wearable computing platform of Google's operating system for mobile devices.

In a YouTube video, Cathay Bi of product marketing noted the watch is made of "beautiful materials" including stainless steel and genuine leather.

But the magic happens once the user pushes a side button or touches then holds the display - or calls out, "OK Google" - to activate the touchscreen display.

A user can swipe to get information from apps that give information on various topics, including calendar and weather.

Bi said the Moto 360 sets itself apart "with a design that reimagines time for the modern era."

"Moto 360 also responds to your voice. Just say 'Ok Google' to ask questions like 'What time is the US versus Germany soccer game today?' or 'Is it raining?' You can also use your voice to schedule an appointment, send a text, set an alarm or take a note," she said. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
