"These apps comes very handy and must-haves this rainy season," Leo Gotfrey Jao, Project NOAH's information officer 3, told GMA News Online on Wednesday in a chance interview during the launch of the Interior and Local Government's "One Safe Future" project.

"This rainy season dapat before bagyo, alam mo na [ang mga impormasyon].  Kung gawin mo pa siya sa panahon ng bagyo kung saan wala na'ng signal, wala na'ng kuryete, wala ka nang magagawa," he pointed out.

Project NOAH

This app provides an array of information about the weather. It offers probability of rain on one's area, weather outlook, and PAGASA's cyclone update.

It also equipped to predict 3-,6-,12-, and 24-hour rainfall possibility.

Project NOAH (Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards) also provides update directly from PAGASA's Twitter feed.

Arko

PAGASA News

Although this application provides more information and more maps to choose from, it take some time before it loads.

Its interface is also less user-friendly compared to other weather applications. It does not have automatic location service so that you should manually input your area.

MMDA

Users of this application may choose to look at the traffic situation using map and system view. This app is practical and easy to use.

I M Ready

What's great about this application is that it is a two-in-one app providing weather and flooding information at the same time.

The weekly weather forecast's data comes from Project NOAH, while its traffic data comes from Waze. If users are not Waze's fans, they may opt to check the traffic situation on the listed major thoroughfares.
