Holy building blocks, Batman! This Adam West Batmobile LEGO set needs your vote

Holy building blocks, Batman! A project to recreate the iconic 1966 Batmobile is getting closer to being mass-produced as a LEGO playset.

As of July 21, the "Batman '66: 50th Anniversary" project needs just 250 supporters to make it to 5,000 votes, which would merit a second official comment from LEGO.

"This build was inspired by my four-year-old daughter who loves Batman and Robin. She asked me to make her a Batmobile that both Batman and Robin could sit in," project creator Sam Gras said.

But the project ultimately needs 10,000 supporters in the next 281 days or so to make it to the next level before approval.

Gras' project includes the Batmobile measuring 4 by 11 by 5 inches, with "screen-accurate" BAT-1 license plates and Batman, Robin and Joker minifigures.

Among the included weapons are two Batarangs, a flag gun, an extra large hammer, Joker Fish, and cream pie.

While the 1960s Batman series did not please all Batman fans, it did gain a cult following, with fans singing "nananananananananana, Batman!"
