Photos of what could be Samsung's next Galaxy Note phone have appeared online, and they suggest some changes in the back and sides, a phone-oriented site reported.

The Galaxy Note 4 is to be shown on September 3 and could hit store shelves starting September 15, GSMArena.com reported.

"The phone appears to retain the plastic back with leather-like texture but the sides look similar to the ones on the yet-unannounced Samsung Galaxy Alpha and appear metal," it said.

It noted a "plastic-like inlay" in the side-frame that suggest the frame could be metal.

Also, it said the S-Pen holster is etched into the side of the phone.

The bottom appears to feature a microUSB 3.0 port and a speaker grille.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 4 is likely to have a 5.7-inch display, but with a better resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
