Google adds trendline, chart copy-paste features in Sheets app
Google is giving users of its spreadsheet app "Sheets" new features to better compete with Microsoft's popular Excel.
In a Google+ post, the company said trendlines are used to analyze financial and scientific data, and could be useful in the classroom and even for budgeting.
"Sometimes it’s helpful to recognize and track patterns of data in your spreadsheets, so that’s why today we’re launching trendlines to scatter plot, bar, column, and line graphs in Google Sheets," it said.
It said users can customize trendlines in Sheets, such as:
- Choosing between exponential or linear trendlines
- Adding several labeling options
- Customizing your trendline
- Adding several labeling options
- Customizing your trendline
"Sheets" is part of Google's productivity apps, allowing people to create, edit and collaborate on spreadsheets. It can work with Excel files. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
