Logitech unveils multi-platform keyboard for smartphones, tablets, and desktops

"One keyboard fits all."

This could well be the mantra of the first keyboard built by Logitech that can connect to three devices at once—whether it's a computer, smartphone or tablet.

Logitech said its keyboard connects with the devices via Bluetooth and can work with any major operating system including Microsoft's Windows, Apple's Mac and iOS, and Google's Chrome OS and Android.

An "Easy-Switch" dial allows a user to "respond to a message on your smartphone and type a tweet on your tablet."

“Typing needs have evolved and consumers are computing and texting across multiple screens, often using two or three different operating systems,” said Charlotte Johs, global vice president of computer peripherals at Logitech.

The keyboard comes with a durable integrated stand that can hold a phone or tablet at the right angle.

It is expected to hit store shelves in September for $49.99. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
