New Chrome beta allows images, notes in bookmarks

Bookmarks on a browser may soon become more personal and easier to find, if a new bookmark manager developed by Google for its Chrome browser gains support.
The new bookmark manager is rolling out with the latest beta of the Chrome browser, product manager Cynthia Johanson said.
"Now when you create a bookmark, you can select an image and add a note or snippet to help you find that bookmark more quickly later. Google will also suggest a folder if it seems like it could be a fit," Johanson said in a blog post.
She said this is for users who may find it hard to search for a bookmark after saving it.
But the new manager works better if a user is signed in and allows syncing.
Also, Johanson said users may organize bookmarks by topic or whichever way they like.
"Your existing bookmarks will automatically get updated with images and descriptions, wherever possible," she added.
Users can also share their folders of favorite bookmarks if they make them public.
Bookmarks will also allow access anywhere - bookmarked articles on a phone can be synced such that a user who starts reading something on a phone can finish reading it on a laptop.
"Chrome will continue to sync your bookmarks across all of your devices, just like it does today," she said. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
