Is this curved screen protector from a Korean company the answer to the prayers of iPhone 6 owners wary of Bendgate?

 

The ITG Edge protector from Patchworks uses a layer of tempered glass and liquid silicon just 0.4 mm thick, tech site The Verge reported.

 

Patchworks, which launched its product recently in the United States, claims the protector can hold back bending or deformation by nearly 45 percent, the report said.

 

 

Yet, it said the protector will not hinder the feel of the glass.

 

Many who bought the new larger-screen iPhone 6 and phablet-class iPhone 6 Plus had complained that the device would bend under pressure, including when put in a pants pocket.

 

The Verge said the new screen protector will go on sale in the US for $39 for the iPhone 6, and $45 for the iPhone 6 Plus. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
