WATCH: Check out the new jazzy 'Persona 5' trailer
By TIM G. VILLASOR

If there’s anything to get exited about 2015 for gamers, it’s that a lot of good titles are hitting the market slowly but surely as the year progresses. From new consoles like the Playstation 4 to last generation devices such as the Playstation 3, you’d be hard-pressed not to find any options suitable to your needs and interests.
That said, video game publisher Atlus certainly has its consumers in mind, as they prepare to deliver the next awaited chapter in the long running “Persona” RPG series with “Persona 5” – which is set to be released for the PS4 and PS3 sometime this year!
Taking place primarily in Shibuya, Tokyo, Persona 5 will see players take on the role of a new male protagonist as he lives out his life as a student in Shujin Gakuen High School. However, the lead character also as a double life as a “Phantom Thief” who apparently steals from the rich and evades the police by whatever means necessary. Together with his friends and allies, they go through heists and capers, while battling evil and persistent creatures known as Shadows using their special “Personas” that grant them an array of powers and abilities.
Set in the modern world, the primary color of Persona 5 is Red, as opposed to Persona 3 and Persona 4 where Blue and Yellow were the predominant colors that represented the theme of those games. The developers have stated that the game will “discuss the hardships of modern-day society and feature characters that are restrained by the rules set by this society”. Unlike previous installments, the game emphasizes freedom, and will incorporate new gameplay elements for exploration and battle that will serve as an evolution for the series.
No exact release date has been given for Persona 5, but Atlus promises the game will be out this 2015. — TJD, GMA News
