This Apple watch app can control your Tesla electric car
A developer has built an app for the Apple Watch that can let an owner of a Tesla Model S electric car control basic functions from his or her wrist.
Created by Allen Wong of Rego Apps, the app allows a user to do virtually anything on the car, from opening its roof to controlling the air-conditioning.
Rego Apps even posted a YouTube video documenting the app.
"(T)he craziest part is that this can all be done remotely. You don't even need to be near the car to issue the commands. It's all communicated through the internet," it said.
A separate report on 9to5mac.com said Wong's app can even do things Tesla's official app can't - like full panoramic roof control.
It said the app also allows a user to "lock or unlock the doors, change the car’s charge limit, modify the climate control settings, geolocate the car on a map, and even start the car using the watch as a key."
But it quoted Wong as saying the app is awaiting Apple’s approval. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
