Samsung pokes fun at Apple in latest video ad

Don't have wireless charging? Tough luck, Apple.

Or at least that's what Samsung seems to be saying with a new ad touting the wireless charging capability of its flagship Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

The ad features several scenarios where smartphone owners fumble with wires and cables while the narrator talks about the woes of wired charging.

Among the scenarios are an office worker trying to push a wire through a desk hole and a man knocking over a glass of water while trying to answer a phone still plugged into a charger, iSpot.tv noted.

Samsung's ad started airing this week, iSpot.tv indicated.

But an article on tech site CNET said the white cables in the ad appear to be a jab at Apple.

"Samsung would like Apple users to know that, well, they look funny. In the meaning of 'funny in the head,'" CNET's Chris Matyszczyk wrote.

But Matyszczyk also noted S6 owners may also have to bring their Samsung chargers when traveling.

"There's no doubt that one of the biggest complaints iPhone users have always had is battery life. I think I'll contact Taylor Swift to see if she can do something about it," he added. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
