Flappy Bird goes 3D, flies to Google Cardboard

The notoriously difficult yet addictive game Flappy Bird is getting a new dimension: the world of 3D.

A developer has made a version of Flappy Bird for Android, where the player gets the literal bird's eye view of the pipes it's supposed to go through.

It is described on Google Play as "a remake of the classic jumping Bird game in first person 3D virtual reality for Google Cardboard."

A player will have to "press the Cardboard trigger to jump," it added.

A separate report on The Next Web noted the original 8-bit 2D version has the player guiding the bird through pipes.

"This time, you see what the bird sees: pipes, pipes and more pipes with gaps at varying heights for you to slip through," it said. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
