— The Flash (@CW_TheFlash) August 11, 2015 In what is certainly a stunning homage to one of the most iconic comic book covers of all time, The CW network has released a brand new image promoting the second season of their Arrow spin-off show “The Flash”—which not only gives a look at Grant Gustin back as The Scarlet Speedster, but also actor Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick, the original Golden Age Flash!
As a direct tribute to classic “Flash of Two Worlds” cover seen in The Flash issue number 123, the new poster confirms that Earth-Two will play a big part of the new season once it begins this fall, with Barry Allen exploring another parallel universe that is similar yet different from the world he knows and lives in. For the first time since the CW began their highly successful DC TV Universe with “Arrow”, The Flash will explore the concept of the Multiverse and parallel worlds in its new season, which will also carry over to the network’s upcoming new spinoff series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”, which sees heroes and villains like The Atom, White Canary, Captain Cold, and Rip Hunter traverse through time to same the universe as we know it.
