Skype users were not able to use the popular telecommunications software Monday due to an issue with the status settings, reports said.
A report on The Next Web said users took to Twitter to complain that they could not log in, change their status or make and receive calls on Skype.
A report on BBC said Microsoft, which owns Skype, had "detected an issue with the status settings" on Skype that show if someone is online or not.
In a tweet, Skype said it is already addressing the issue.
We are working to fix an issue which is preventing some users from logging in & using Skype. We apologize for any inconvenience.
