“Pocket MapleStory SEA” begins its hunt for the founding “MapleStory SEA” players in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand via a friend-finding campaign.

In commemoration of “MapleStory SEA’s” decade-long journey with fans, PlayPark, the publisher of “Pocket MapleStory SEA,” has launched its “Find Maple Friend” website. (http://bit.ly/FindMapleFriend) The site allows players to search for their past guilds and in-game buddies. Through this platform, “Pocket MapleStory SEA” aims to get in touch with the original batch of “MapleStory SEA” players – the ones who appeared in a 2005 The New Paper feature. Each pioneer was also identified by their in-game bandana, the “Mark of the Beta,” which symbolized their role as beta participants.

In addition to this campaign, PlayPark hopes to reconnect with “MapleStory SEA” players at a special, invite-only “Pocket MapleStory SEA” event to be held in early 2016.

“Pocket MapleStory SEA” is the mobile evolution of the classic PC MMORPG, “MapleStory SEA.” The game retains many of the original’s elements, but also comes with new features that make it a strong fit for mobile devices. New quests, faster advancement, party raids, and single-player adventure modes round out the experience.

“Pocket MapleStory SEA” will be available in 2016. Upon launch, players who have preregistered (http://bit.ly/PreReg-PocketMapleStoryPH) can expect to receive rewards.

You can find more information about the “Find Maple Friend” campaign in its website and the official “Pocket MapleStory SEA” Facebook page.  — TJD, GMA News
