‘Uncharted 4’ story trailer revealed
Naughty Dog has unveiled the story trailer for “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.”
Game directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley described the video as the “best trailer in Naughty Dog’s history.”
From the trailer, it’s clear the story will revolve around series hero Nathan Drake’s relationship with his brother, Sam. It seems Nathan’s been out of the game for a while. Unsurprisingly, Sam pulls him back for one last hurrah.
“As you can see, there’s quite a bit at stake for Nathan Drake’s closing chapter,” wrote Druckmann and Straley in the PlayStation blog. “The team is working extremely hard to deliver our most ambitious game to date. We can’t tell you how excited we all are for you to play the final game.”
Druckmann promised more reveals in the upcoming weeks. “There’s plenty more to show from now until launch. We’ll be dropping new info, screenshots, and behind-the-scenes videos on a regular basis,” he said.
Trouble with Ubisoft
Unfortunately, the launch of the story trailer didn’t go as smoothly as planned. Ubisoft was quick to notice that one of the images used in the trailer was in fact taken from an “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag” art book.

Azaizia Aymar, the head of content for “Assassin’s Creed,” jokingly tweeted “I get the ‘thief’ title now.”
The director of “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag,” Ashraf Ismail, echoed the sentiment, tweeting, “umm, thanks for the homage…?”
Not long after the complaints, however, Sony issued an apology.
“In our eagerness to get the story trailer out we made a regrettable mistake and didn’t thoroughly vet the artwork used for an in-game painting,” explained a Sony representative. “We’ve already updated the trailer. We hold all artistry in high regard and take full responsibility for having allowed this to happen.”
They added: “We want to sincerely apologize to everyone at Ubisoft, the ‘Assassin’s Creed’ team, the original artist, and our fans.”
“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” will be available for the PlayStation 4 on April 26, 2016. As the final chapter in the phenomenal saga, it will be the last “Uncharted” title to feature Nathan Drake as the lead. — TJD, GMA News
