‘Perfect World 2.0 Transcendence’ marks new era for fans

Playpark has just announced that “Perfect World,” one of the longest-running MMORPGs in the Philippines, is getting a massive update.

The update will introduce fans to “Perfect World 2.0 Transcendence” – a major patch that boasts a variety of new features, including the following:


New Race

The Moonshade finally make themselves known in “Perfect World 2.0.” A new playable race, the Moonshade rely on the moon for their power, and are devoted to ridding the world of evil.

Originally known as the Reapers, this race protected the Celestial Vale, until the Divine Child, to whom they were duty bound, released them from his service. The Reapers then entered the Perfect World, where they became the Moonshade race.

The Moonshade possess a special skill that allows them to activate their Reaper Form. This transforms them into a more powerful version of themselves, which augments their physical defense, speed, and skills.

New Classes

The new classes, Ye Ying and Yu Xia are associated with the Moonshade.

The Ye Ying are graceful melee warriors who are all about agility and lethal precision. They are known for favoring sabers, and using magic and their physical prowess in unison to perform mighty attacks.

The Yu Xia, on the other hand, are wielders of thunder and ice magic. Their weapon of choice is the scythe, which can channel the power of the storm against unfortunate opponents. They have an arsenal of diverse and dangerous spells. For example, they can summon the metal or water elements to drastically affect enemy mobility. The Yu Xia are also the only class that are able cast spells while in motion.


New Starter Zone: Celestial Vale

“Perfect World 2.0” offers players a brand new starter zone, called Celestial Vale, to explore. This enormous region includes several subareas, some of which are the Unseen Crown Altar, Jadespring Forest, and Holy Temple of Ruins.

New World

A brand new map called Primal World is one of “Perfect World 2.0’s” new features. As the location is teeming with powerful monsters, only reawakened classes can set foot in it.


New Dungeon

Players get to test their skills against dangerous creatures and four bosses in the new dungeon, the Silver Stream Palace.


New Server

With a new server comes a fresh start for fans of “Perfect World 2.0.”


Interface Optimization

The game’s interface has been overhauled, with improvements made to the UI elements, beginner guide, and inventory interface. NPCs have also been modified to behave in a more lively manner.


Quest Optimization

The difficulty and pacing of the quests have been improved, making for a more balanced challenge for players. Additionally, there are new daily quests for gamers to try.





Nine years and counting

“Perfect World” was launched in the Philippines nine years ago in 2007.

“Perfect World 2.0 Transcendence” is the first major update the local version of the game will receive in a long while.
