Fallout 4 and Fallout Shelter expansions coming this July
Two “Fallout” games – namely “Fallout 4” and “Fallout Shelter” – are getting expansions this July.
‘Fallout Shelter’ gets a PC port, and more
Originally for mobile devices, “Fallout Shelter” tasks the player with building and maintaining a Vault. The game is a massive success; as of writing, it has seen around 50 million downloads
Good news for PC owners who’ve been missing out: “Fallout Shelter” will be getting a PC version between July 13 and 14.
At the same time, “Fallout Shelter” will receive update 1.6, which offers substantial additions to the game. New features include new enemies and characters, and the ability to send Vault dwellers to special locations and on quests. The update will also introduce a new combat system.
‘Fallout 4’ and Vault-Tec Workshop
“Fallout 4,” which saw the Sole Survivor and his faithful canine companion Dogmeat adventuring through post-nuclear Boston, will be getting its Vault-Tec Workshop expansion later this July.

The Vault-Tec Workshop expansion gives the player the ability to create their own massive subterranean Vault. They can equip the Vault with items of their choosing, and even conduct experiments on its inhabitants.
Vault-Tec Workshop’s official description reads:
“Build a brighter future underground with the all-new Vault-Tec Workshop. Create a Vault using pre-war industrial kits complete with retro-nostalgic furniture, lighting, and art designed to increase the productivity of your Dwellers. And like every good Overseer, run Vault-Tec approved experiments and turn your Dwellers into test subjects! Vault-Tec has given you the tools, the rest is up to you!”
The expansion will cost $5. Bethesda will be showcasing the expansion during a Twitch livestream scheduled for July 12.
Vault-Tec Workshop will be followed by “Fallout 4’s” last and possibly largest expansion, Nuka-World. This is set in an enormous amusement park that has been taken over by murderous Raiders, and will feature several new regions, quests, items, and enemies. Nuka-World will arrive in August, and will cost $20. — TJD, GMA News
