Asiasoft and Gameloft collaborate for ‘Disney Magic Kingdoms’
Online and digital entertainment service providers Asiasoft and Gameloft recently announced that they are collaborating to expand the reach of “Disney Magic Kingdoms.”
Under this strategic partnership, Asiasoft will be publishing the chart-topping mobile game in Southeast Asia. Gameloft will be able to use Asiasoft’s regional expertise and scale to its advantage, allowing “Disney Magic Kingdoms” to reach more people in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
As Asiasoft’s Playpark platform, vast player ecosystem, and distribution partners will be accessible to Gameloft, the company should also be able to grow their Southeast Asian presence.
“We are very pleased to form a strategic partnership with Gameloft, a highly established global gaming company,” stated Asiasoft Corporation Public Company Limited’s Chief Executive Officer, Pramoth Sudjitporn. “Together, we can forge a deeper and stronger reach of Gameloft’s games in the fast-growing SEA mobile games market.”
“Asiasoft has a great track record for launching and supporting games in Southeast Asia,” said Ludovic Blondel, Gameloft’s Vice President of Business Development. “They know the market well and are aligned with us in our commitment to delivering quality games. We look forward to bringing the highest level of entertainment and technology to mobile gamers in SEA with Asiasoft.”
Aside from Gameloft, huge game developers such as Blizzard, Sega, and Nexon have also worked with Asiasoft to bring their games to the region’s players.
Based on the number of mobile titles downloaded, App Annie in 2015 ranked Gameloft as the world’s #2 game developer on Google Play and iOS,
Also in 2015, the mobile games market in Southeast Asia was worth $1.4 billion—a figure that is expected to balloon to $1.7 billion in 2016.

A little Disney magic
Gameloft’s “Disney Magic Kingdoms” is a free-to-play title for iOS and Android devices. It tasks players with building a fantastical theme park.
Players will create all sorts of attractions, from real-life rides such as Space Mountain and California Screamin’, to new ones inspired by Disney and Pixar movies such as “Tangled,” “Toy Story,” and “WALL-E.”
Players also get to meet characters from over 90 years of Disney entertainment, from Mickey Mouse and Goofy to Buzz Lightyear and Rapunzel. — AT, GMA News
