Fans can play Final Fantasy XV, CoD: Infinite Warfare, NBA 2K17 at ESGS 2016

At the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) 2016, Sony will be showcasing two of 2016’s most anticipated video games: “Final Fantasy XV” and “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.” They will also be holding an “NBA 2K17” competition.

Final Fantasy XV

“Final Fantasy XV” is the eagerly awaited 15th entry in the seminal “Final Fantasy” franchise. The game revolves around Crown Prince Noctis who, with the aid of his friends, embarks on a quest to thwart the plans of the warmongering Niflheim empire.

“Final Fantasy XV” is a role-playing game set in a massive open world. It boasts a day-night cycle and dynamic weather, both of which can affect the gameplay in various ways. Players can explore the world using the car, Regalia, which can eventually be enhanced to have flight capabilities. The game also features a real-time battle system similar to the one in the “Kingdom Hearts” series.

The game is launching worldwide on November 29, 2016.

ESGS 2016 attendees will be able to play a demo of “Final Fantasy XV” at Sony’s booth.


Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

“Call of Duty” has been flirting with sci-fi for a while now. Well, “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” has one-upped its predecessors, as it takes the first-person shooter franchise into space.

As expected, the game comes with a single-player story campaign, multiplayer mode, and a zombie mode. The latter, which is called “Zombies in Spaceland,” transports players to a theme park in the 1980s, and stars David Hasselhoff as an enigmatic DJ.

The release date for “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” is November 4, 2016.

Fans can play the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” multiplayer demo at Sony’s booth at ESGS 2016. Additionally, ESGS 2016 ticket holders can avail of a PHP 300 discount when buying the PlayStation 4, Region 3 version of the game at Datablitz and PlayStation Authorized Dealers. All they have to do is present their ticket stubs to the seller. The offer lasts until November 13, 2016.


NBA 2K17

Sony is hosting an NBA 2K17 tournament at ESGS 2016. The finalists get the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the 2017 Taipei regional finals.
