New NieR: Automata trailer looks at post-apocalyptic open world
A new trailer for action roleplaying game “NieR: Automata” has been released. Entitled “Glory to Mankind 119450310,” it depicts the game’s post-apocalyptic setting, as well as provides some tidbits of information about the game’s plot.
The game is set in the distant future of 11945 AD, during an event known as the 14th Machine War. As an android named 2B, you have been tasked by your human masters to reclaim the planet from the machine lifeforms that have taken control of it. During your journey, you’ll form a bond with 9S, a member of the elite android squad known as YoRHa. Together, you’ll fight a variety of enemies, including the twins Adam and Eve.

“NieR: Automata” features open world environments, several playable characters who are unlocked as you progress through the game, both melee and ranged weapons, and intense action. It takes place in the “Nier” universe, which is a spin-off of the “Drakengard” franchise.
“NieR: Automata” is published by Square Enix and developed by PlatinumGames (of “Bayonetta,” Bayonetta 2,” and “Transformers: Devastation” fame). It will be available for the PC and PlaySation 4 system this March 7.
A playable demo of the game is available at the PlayStation Store.
