LG G6 smartphone makes Philippine debut
LG Electronics debuted its flagship G6 smartphone in the Philippines on Tuesday, April 18.
Launched locally at a public event in SM Megamall, the LG G6 was paraded onstage by artists who highlighted the device's multimedia features.
The phone was first announced at the start of this year at the prestigious annual Mobile World Congress. The phone was a significant departure from its predecessor, eschewing the G5's removable battery and modular upgrade features and adopting a unique 18:9 screen ratio.
The IP68 water- and dust-resistant G6 also features Hi-Fi Quad DAC audio and Dolby Vision with support for HDR 10.
"The G6 went back to basics and took smartphone design, convenience and overall user experience to the next level," said LG Mobile Philippines vice president Jay Won in a press release.
Available in "Astro Black," "Ice Platinum," and "Mystic White" colorways, the G6 will be rolled out in local stores beginning April 29 with an SRP of P37,990. — GMA News
