‘Destiny 2’ open beta for PS4 begins July 19

Those eagerly anticipating Bungie’s “Destiny 2” won’t have to wait long to take the sci-fi shooter for a spin; beginning today, July 19, PlayStation 4 users will be given access to an open beta of the game. This early access period lasts until July 24, 2017.

 

The beta is composed of the following components: “Destiny 2’s” first campaign mission, Homecoming; the game’s online player-versus-player arena, the Crucible; and a cooperative multiplayer Strike called The Inverted Spire.

Online multiplayer first-person shooter “Destiny 2” is the follow-up to 2014’s “Destiny,” which was also developed by Bungie and published by Activision.
