Trese coming to Pinoy-made game Brawl Quest in crossover event on May 28

Supernatural detective Alexandra Trese of celebrated Pinoy comic book “Trese” is slashing her way into Pinoy-made mobile game “Brawl Quest” as a playable character.
Before the highly anticipated launch on Netflix, players will have the opportunity to unlock Trese when she is introduced to “Brawl Quest” during a collaboration event from May 28 to June 6, 2021.
Those interested in trying her out can download the game for free from Google Play and App Store.
Trese is described as a rock-type character. “Trese” artist Kajo Baldisimo provided the artwork that Philippine “Brawl Quest” developer ThinkBIT Games then used as reference for her special moves, which include:
- Kris Slasher: Trese unleashes a savage 5-hit combo using her trademark blade
- Santelmo: Trese uses the power of Santelmo to perform a flying charge attack
- Laman Lupa Slam: Trese summons an earth elemental which delivers a powerful slam capable of hurting multiple enemies
- The Twins: Trese summons her gun-wielding bodyguards to fight by her side

The event will come with new event stages collectively known as “Case #13.” Players will fight their way through ghouls and a manananggal as they investigate a murder mystery.
Completing these stages and taking advantage of the daily login bonus will reward players the in-game currency needed to unlock Trese. She can also be acquired through the gacha at a discounted price of $4.
After the event, Trese will remain in the gacha rotation alongside previous guest characters but at the regular price of $7.
Two additional features the event will introduce include the ability to play the game in Landscape Mode, as well as Autoplay Mode, which can be toggled on and off any time during gameplay.

Created by writer Budjette Tan and artist Kajo Baldisimo, “Trese” is an award-winning horror and crime comic book series that highlights Philippine mythology.
Set in Manila, it tells the story of Alexandra Trese, a detective who specializes in solving crimes of a supernatural nature. Her cases typically involve her dealing with creatures such as aswang, tikbalang, kapre, manananggal, enkanto, and duwende.
The “Brawl Quest” crossover event is based on the “Trese” comic book, not the animated series coming to Netflix.

Developed by Pinoy game studio ThinkBIT Games, the multi-awarded “Brawl Quest” is a beat ‘em up inspired by Philippine pop culture and society and classic arcade games such as “River City Ransom” and “Double Dragon.”
The “Trese” event is the last in the game’s current set of collaborations that previously featured “Little Things PH,” “Sskait,” and “Hunghang Flashbacks.”

After the event, ThinkBIT Games will focus on completing “Brawl Quest’s” story and developing an extra game mode. — LA, GMA News
