Muntinlupa City launches emergency response mobile app

Muntinlupa City launches emergency response mobile app

Residents of Muntinlupa City can now just tap on their mobile phones to call for help after the city government launched an emergency response application.

Among the key features of the iRespond app is one-touch emergency reporting, which allows responders to pinpoint the exact location of those needing help.

“The iRespond app is a significant leap forward in emergency management, providing users with seamless access to emergency reporting with just a single tap. Whether in need of medical assistance, fire rescue, police intervention, or other critical services, Muntinlupeños can now initiate help swiftly and effectively through this platform,” said Mayor Ruffy Biazon during the launching ceremony on Thursday.

Other features of the mobile app include real-time incident tracking for back-end dispatchers to supervise incoming alarms and respond appropriately; and community alerts and notifications that allow the city’s Department of Disaster Resilience and Management to inform residents of potential scenarios and help them prepare or respond adequately.

The iRespond app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
