Inspired by flying objects, man in Cebu creates remote-controlled toy bird

A man in Cebu has created a remote-controlled toy bird out of his fascination with flying objects like airplanes.

Kuya Kim reported on "24 Oras" on Wednesday that Sairel Suaton's toy bird was spotted soaring over Olango Island.

Suaton, who has always enjoyed fixing things, said he used plastic, barbecue sticks, and an electric motor to make the toy bird.

"Napatunayan po yan kasi maraming inuupload na video na lumilipad talaga. May nagsasabi wala raw aerodynamics, maliit yung wingspan, yung body mali raw. Dapat self believe kayo sa potential niyo," he said.

(That has been proven because there are many videos uploaded that actually fly. Some say there is no aerodynamics, the wingspan is small, and the body is wrong. You must believe in your potential.)

Suaton said that his next project will be a remote-controlled toy submarine. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
