DOST promotes Filipino e-vehicles amid rising fuel prices due to conflict
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) on Friday urged the wider use of Filipino e-vehicles, or what it called e-mobility innovations, amid the massive fuel price hikes triggered by the Middle East conflict.
The agency touted the following Filipino e-vehicles as viable options.

MB Dalaray Electric Ferry Project: A ferry operating on an electric propulsion system, it travels between Guadalupe and Escolta on the Pasig River from Mondays to Saturdays.

For charging electric vehicles, the DOST also encouraged the use of CharM or Charging in minutes.

Charging in Minutes (CharM): This fast-charging system allows e-vehicles to recharge in 30 minutes.
“These are real, working technologies—tested on the ground and developed by Filipino engineers," said Niñaliza Escorial, DOST-PCIEERD Deputy Executive Director and officer-in-charge of the Office of the Executive Director
"As fuel prices continue to fluctuate, our e-mobility solutions give Filipinos a more stable, sustainable, and homegrown option,” she added.
In addition to supporting e-vehicles, DOST also encouraged the public to consider said options for daily commute and for integration into modernization plans. –NB, GMA Integrated News
