Digital TIN ID now accessible via eGovPH app - BIR

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) announced on Tuesday that the digital taxpayer identification number (TIN) ID is now available on the eGovPH app. 

The digital TIN ID can be accessed through the app’s mobile ID wallet.

To get started, one must download the app. Second, create an account by signing up and entering your personal information. 

After signing up, verify your identity through facial recognition and by ensuring that your details are correct. 

You can now log in to your account by entering your registered mobile number or email address. Input the one-time password and your six-digit mobile PIN. 

You can view your Digital TIN ID by clicking the “Digital ID” icon at the bottom of the app. 

The Digital TIN ID will be available if your eGovPH app profile matches your BIR records or you have an existing Digital TIN ID in BIR’s Online Registration and Update System (ORUS), the BIR said.

The BIR launched the Digital TIN ID in 2023 to eliminate the practice of fixers and scammers selling TINs online.
