Fair weather forecast for Metro Manila

The PAGASA continues to monitor on Saturday two weather systems in the country, namely; the northeast monsoon or the amihan, and the tail end of the cold front.

The tail end of a cold front will be affecting eastern Visayas while the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon and the rest of the Visayas.

Metro Manila will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Light to moderate winds coming from northeast will prevail and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Visayas and CARAGA regions will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm caused by the tail-end of the cold front and the northeast monsoon. The residents in these regions, the weather bureau said, should monitor for flash floods and landslides that may occur due to scattered light to moderate at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorm. The residents should also monitor for possible flash floods during a severe thunderstorm.

Strong winds will prevail over the eastern sections of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao moving from northeast while the coastal water condition is expected to be rough.

For the rest of the country, moderate to strong winds will prevail moving northeast to east as the coastal water condition is expected to be moderate to rough. — BAP, GMA News
